Hayoung Chung (she/her) is a writer and curator based in New York and Seoul. Chung has held curatorial positions for exhibitions including Haegue Yang—O2 & H2O at MMCA in Korea (2020), Body Language at Saga (2021), and Inanimatefy at VSF (2022). Focusing on publication, she co-curated the book collection and moving image archive of Hyundai Card’s Art Library in Seoul and contributes articles to international media outlets such as Artforum, Frieze, The Art Newspaper, and the Financial Times.
Her diverse background includes an early-career stint as an equity research analyst and later positions at MoMA, Guggenheim, Judd Foundation, and Jeffrey Deitch. Chung is currently pursuing an MA at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, holding a BA in Business Administration and Art History from Seoul National University.
